Citadel of Egypt

Skirt: South Moon Under // Jean Button Up: Banana Republic // Shoes: Steve Madden

Citadel in Egypt is such a sight to see. An area with so much history, we went to three different mosques, maybe even 4 I can't remember now because there were so many! The shah of Iran is even buried in one of the mosques here which was pretty cool to see. The pictures don't do justice to seeing everything in person, obviously, but I hope you love the pictures even just 1% of what it would be like to see it in person.

Cairo Pyramids

Egypt was something else. So full of culture it's completely opposite of Dubai. Dubai is fun and all, but it is all superficial, or as my mom likes to call it, 'the adult Disneyland'. Egypt, was all rich culture and history. Seeing the pyramids at Cairo was crazy. I just tried to imagine all the slaves moving the huge pieces of stones, which look much bigger in person than in pictures, and building them up to make amazing pyramids. The struggle and effort it took blows my mind, especially when they didn't have all the new technology we have today. Definitely a site to see, and I definitely want to go back in the near future to visit Luxor and Sharm el Sheikh.

If you're wondering who the girl and baby - or santa clause - in my pictures are, it is my good friend Sue. We met in America but she went back to Egypt and we were so thrilled to be able to see her and experience Egypt with her. It was me and Lily (her daughters) first time to the pyramids together! :)

Madinat Jumeirah

Top: Urban Outfitters // Jeans: Gap // Hijab: Austere Attire

Every time I go to Dubai I have to go to Madinat Jumeriah at least once. The restaurants and shops aligned against the water with Gondola rides and the Burj al-Arab in sight makes for a one of a kind beautiful setting. I'm wearing another lovely hijab from Austere Attire. I love this blush pink color and the fabric is so comfortable and breathable. Perfect color for winter or summer depending on what you wear it with!
