Baby Sprinkle Look

Dress: Dubai // Hijab: H&M // Watch & Purse: Michael Kors // Heels: Charlotte Russe

This was a look I wore to a friends baby sprinkle. I was trying to get in my maxi dress usage before it's too cold to do so anymore. I bought this dress in Dubai last year and was waiting for the right time to finally wear it. I matched it with nude/blush tones with my hijab watch and heels. Can I just point out the mustache bracelet I'm wearing because it was a party favor at the baby sprinkle! My friend is having a baby boy, iA, and they gave all the guests a cute mustache necklace! Sooo adorable and creative!

Sweater Weather

Hijab: Resham Collection // Sweater: Target // White tank: Nordstrom Rack // Jeans: H&M // Boots: Bakers // Purse: Michael Kors

Who remembers the store called Bakers? I used to live in that store, but a few years ago they closed all their stores and became online only.. sad face for me because I don't like online shopping! Every time I wear this boots I wish Bakers was still a store-front store. Anyway, I bought these boots one black Friday when they had a buy one get one half off deal. I bought two pairs of boots that day and have been wearing them for years now. I loveeee fall because it's boot weather! Spent the day with some friends walking around the city and stopping at all the festivals we stumbled upon. This is why I love Philly, always full of things to do even when you don't plan on it!

Golden Takeover

Coat & Hijab: Target // Top: Forever 21 // Skirt: Urban Outfitters // Heels: Nordstrom Rack // Purse: JannahNaima

Last night my brother and I went to a friends wedding in North Jersey. I normally like to wear evening gowns to weddings since it's the only time you can dress up so fancy, but when I saw this skirt I knew I could jazz it up and make it work. I don't know if there's anything I love more than gold and black especially paired with red accents! (Ok, maybe I love lace more..) Here I paired a peplum top with the gold skirt and red/gold accessories. I especially loved adding the gold Desi bangles as it was a Desi wedding! When I received this beautiful clutch from Jannah Naima, I was ecstatic that I had the perfect outfit for it. The purse is such a statement piece on it's own and it really completed my look. Make sure you check out JannahNaima's website for more of her beautiful collection!!

Beautiful Child

I'm excited to share this new video by Muslim poet Shahroz. There's so much in today's society that makes us focus on physical beauty and popularity on social media which makes it hard to separate ourselves from that mentality. There's so much more value in focusing on what really matters like people's actions, personality and conduct and it's sometimes hard to remember that. This spoken word video hits home on a lot of those issues and is a great reminder to everyone to really think about what is valuable rather than superficial. The thing that stood out to me most is that he includes issues relevant to both men and women. It's so common to hear criticism for Muslim women in regards to their conduct and Hijab as we complain about Muslim men having a double standard, but this video hit home with issues related to both genders. If sharing this video can open the eyes of just one person and help them change their conduct for the better, then I'm happy with that. Make sure you like and share the video so we can work together to shift the shallow focus that current society has instilled in our minds, and really embrace what is actually important.

Eid Style

Skirt: Zara // Top: H&M // Hijab: CMB Collection // Heels: Charlotte Russe

I recently paired with the now Philly local Farha of Farha Ali Photography to shoot some of my Eid style. It was the perfect time to take out this CMB Collection hijab I was sent to review. I paired the fun animal print with a green leather ruffled skirt to add texture to the look. I love the hijab because the fabric is one of my favorites for a wrap hijab, it's easy to style however you want and the detailed animal print and chain detail added a fun touch to a black hijab.

Make sure you follow Farha on her social media to see more of her amazing work!!

Fall Foliage

Hijab: Wet Seal // Sweater & Jacket: H&M // Jeans: Zara // Shoes: Steve Madden // Sunglasses: Marc Jacobs

If this outfit doesn't scream 'fall', I don't know what does. I don't know what happened this weekend, but the weather got really cold, really fast! The perfect time to pull out the over sized sweaters! For those of you into lipstick like I am, I recently went to Mac looking for a good fall color and immediately eyed this burnt orange color and tried it on. I knew it was going to be my color this fall, and I had to have it. This lipstick is called chili which made me love it even more because I love me some chili! (If you couldn't tell by my last post!)
