Maxi Fun

One of my favorite tips/tricks in hijabi fashion is related to the versatility of a maxi dress because you can style it so many different ways. When I posted this outfit on Instagram, a few people commented about my 'skirt'... but actually, it's a dress! The three main ways you can wear a maxi dress are as follows: 1. As a regular maxi dress with a blazer or cardigan on top, 2. with a long sleeve shirt underneath and 2. with a crop top or shirt on top which gives the illusion of a high waist-ed skirt. One of my first posts on my blog also explained this in more detail with pictures, you can see it here.

Cowgirl Wannabe

Hijab: Zara // Denim Top: Target // Dress: Marshalls

Marshalls seems to be the best place to get maxi dresses.. I think 80% of my maxi dresses are from there, and they were all under $30. Yea, you have to do some scouting when you go there, but it's totally worth it because they are hijabi friendly for life - a solid investment! haha I feel like I look like a cowboy here with the barn looking garage door and my denim top.. yeeeeehaw! :)

Hotline Bling

You used to call me on my cell phone... #hotlinebling

I am obsessed with this shirt for so many reasons. First of all, I love Drake.. actually not Drake himself just his lyrics. Probably 97% of my Instagram captions are Drake lyrics haha. Second, It's the opposite of  what Drake actually says in the song Hotline Bling and it's soooo fitting as a hijabi... So when the lovely team at Teesandtankyou told me to pick anything I wanted, I didn't hesitate to pick this shirt! (Needless to say I also wanted a million other shirts too.. they're all so witty and so me!!) Make sure you check out their site here and follow the link above for the Drake shirt!

Eid Mubarak!

Eid Mubarak to everyone who celebrated!! InshaAllah Ramadan was productive for you in many ways and may we InshaAllah be blessed with the opportunity to partake in Ramadan again.

This Eid I felt a little bit princess-y in this blush tulle skirt! In fact, when I went out to lunch the waitress told me I looked like a princess! (hehe) Anyway, I paired this high waist-ed skirt with a lace crop top (of course because I can't stay away from lace). I originally wanted to wear a nude shirt underneath the lace top so that you could see the detail of the lace more clearly, but because I didn't have time to find a good undershirt for it I went with the white and I was still happy with the outcome. I wore it with a short heeled rose gold sandals I got at H&M (they aren't on the website so I linked a similar option) and a dark purple hijab (even though it kinda looks black in the pictures). It was my first time wearing short heels and I must say the comfort is amazing haha.

I got both the top and skirt from Asos and also ordered the purple of both just to see what they looked like but when they arrived the purples had a cheap quality look to it so I returned those and kept the white and blush pink!
