Good Eats and Treats

For those of you in the Philly area.. you MUST try this place out! It's called Manakeesh and they're located at 4420 Walnut Street right across from Saad's Cheesesteaks. They have a full halal menu and they are AMAZING. I usually get the Chicken Tawouk with Tabouli on top.. pictured below, or the egg and cheese with turkey bacon. It is absolutely phenomenal. They have recently opened a fresh juice/smoothie/ice scream joint which also looks amazing and I can't wait to try it soon.

JWWWD & Giveaway

Well everyone, after moving and finally getting my internet up and running, I can share my good news and giveaway! I have officially joined the 'JWWWD' online magazine. JWWWD stands for, Just What We Wanna Do, and is just as it's name suggests, we blog on things that we want to. When the founder, Ella, asked me to join I had to accept. She expressed her support and admiration for what my blog stands for and the importance of it to me. With that being said, I plan to continue posting predominately on fashion and other things that interest me. My fashion is obviously tailored to Hijabis (girls who wear the head covering) but can easily always be modified for those who don't cover. This is the true beauty of fashion, that with a simple change here and there, we can each tailor fashion with our own personal touch. We are a team at JWWWD and as I am the fashion segment, there is also Ella who does basically everything about life, Brittany does entertainment news, Li Li Bee does Beauty and last but not least, Fung Fitness. In the coming days as I finish my transition, I'll have the links to each of our team members blogs on my page so make sure to check it out and support them as we all blog about the things we love most!

I look forward to what's to come and I am really excited to start this new venture.

With that being said... here is my giveaway! A Pashima Scarf from Iran with Farsi/Persian calligraphy. This can be worn many different ways which is awesome.

To be entered into the giveaway:

Few things to note: You don't have to be a girl or a hijabi to enter, guys are welcomed too!

Breaking in Boot Season

Black Jeans- H&M
Lace Tank Top- Mango via Dubai
Cardigan- Forever 21
Combat Boots- Bare Feet Shoes

So I think boot season is finally here! Not full on knee high boots or UGG boots, but maybe the shorter boots for now. These are my favorite boots of all time! They're combat boots I bought from Bare Feet Shoes over a year ago for only $35 bucks! I'm always precautions about getting cheap 'pleather' boots because cheap boots usually look cheap, but I got lucky with these. Even after all the use I've gotten out of them, they still look great. My motto is always shop around till you find exactly what you're looking for, otherwise you'll end up buying more than you need till you're finally satisfied. A little patience goes a long way!

I know I keep saying my giveaway post is coming, but it's definitely coming tomorrow.. I've drafted it and it's almost ready to go, so definitely check in tomorrow for some great news and my first giveaway!

Cupcakes and Skulls

This past weekend I spent a day in Georgetown which is one of my favorite places ever. There is something about DC and Georgetown that just makes you fall in love. It's full of good food, stores and pretty views. Most of you may think of Georgetown cupcake immediately, but this weekend my friend exposed me to Baked and Wired which is just a few blocks down from Georgetown cupcakes and in my opinion is much better! We tried a chocolate peanut butter cupcake and a red velvet cupcake... to die for!! For those of you in the area, go check it out if you already haven't! I didn't have any pictures of my full outfit, but I was wearing this pale pink shirt that I fell in love with because the buttons were little skulls! I wore it with jeans and black sandals.

Shirt: Zara
Jeans: Rock & Republic
Purse: Michael Kors

In other news, I've finally decided what I'm going to be using for my giveaway! I'll probably post it tomorrow so check back and I also have some great additions coming to my blog! Stay tuned ;)

Custom Jewelry

Hey all! So I've been enjoying my time off for now and I wanted to share with you all my cousins jewelry. Her items are so unique and unlike other things you find in stores. She puts so much time and effort in her jewelry and she only makes a few of each so if you buy anything you're one of few to own it! Her etsy page can be found here. Here are some of her items:

Three stone ring
Skull bracelet
Hamsa and stone necklace
Skull and chains necklace
Hamsa bracelet
Spike bracelet
Bullet necklace with swarovski crystals and chains
Hijab pins

There are many more items on her Etsy page. Also, it's good to note that all her beads, stones and jewels are great quality and some from overseas making them that much more rare. Enjoy, and if you buy anything send me a picture of your outfit wearing it and I'll post it on my blog! Here page can be found here again.
