Here we visited the Blue Mosque which was built between 1609 and 1616. It is so surreal to see this Mosque and to think about how advanced architecture was so long ago that they were able to build such a place. sA it was so beautiful inside and out, I can't even describe it! I've seen many large scale Mosques, notably the Sheikh Zyed Mosque in Abu Dhabi built only in 2007, but the Blue Mosque has a different feel due to it's dated history. It's also so surreal to see the Hagia Sophia right across the courtyard, but more pictures of that to follow on another post!
