Thanksgiving - Giving

This thanksgiving, I decided to give back to those in need. I decided since I wasn't celebrating with family or friends this year, I wanted to give back to those who were alone and may not feel like they have much to be thankful for. I decided to make bags full of goodies to hand out to the homeless around Philadelphia. I had so many things I wanted to include in the bag, but I had to stop somewhere. This is what my bag included:

-Gloves
-Extra Long Socks
-Toe Warmers
-Antibacterial Wipes
-Lotion
-Toothbrush
-Toothpaste
-Banana
-2 PB&J Sandwiches
-2 Chewy Bars

I really wanted to include poncho's and hand warmers but the store was out when I went shopping. Nonetheless, I was very satisfied with the items I chose. Handing these out on thanksgiving, was such a great experience. There was one person who was sleeping and I just placed the bag next to him, and when I happened to drive past him again about 20 minutes later, he was eating one of the sandwiches. As I drove off from handing the bags out, I would look in my rear view, and the excitement I saw from these homeless men and women was so gratifying. I could go on and on about why this is such a great thing to do, but even after I did it, the sense of fulfillment I felt was greater than I expected. I highly encourage you all to do something to help those in need at any time, it doesn't have to just be thanksgiving. Everyone deserves compassion, no matter what they did to get where they are.

Louella Shop Maxi Cardigan

Maxi Cardigan: Louella Shop // Top: Nordstrom Rack // Jeans: H&M // Shoes; Converse // Hijab: Forever 21 // Purse: Dubai

When I had the chance to collab with Ibtihaj of Louella Shop, there was no way in the world I would turn it down. Ibtihaj has made it a point to maintain creativity, originality and rooted morals through her brand Louella Shop. I commend her for all the work she does in maintaining her brand along with being on the US Women's National fencing team and of course, a devout Hijabi Muslim female in today's society. I know first hand all the effort and time Ibtihaj puts into her brand, which makes it so much more special to me. I know not a single decision is made without her input, and that is truly how a good company should function. Great quality and unique designs while maintaining modesty so I highly recommend you head over to Louella Shop now and see all the beautiful pieces she designed herself. .

Noora Hefzi Ensemble

Top & Skirt: Noora Hefzi // Heels: Dubai // Purse: Tory Burch

When I came across Noora Hefzi, I fell in loveeeeeeeeeeeee with her designs instantly. She has such a unique and distinct look and it screams 'Hanyeh' all over it. I love love love her socialite line. When I found out she could make a custom top for me with long sleeves, I was thrilled and ecstatic. When I finally received the outfit from Noora, based in Dubai, I was completely blown away. The crop top and high waisted skirt never looked so good if you ask me. She was nice enough to send another look as well, which I can't wait to share with you guys as soon as I find the perfect place to wear it to! Make sure you head over to her website and check out all the awesome designs she has to offer. I'm sure she would be flexible in adding sleeves for others who want it! :)

And I can't forget to credit the photographer, the ever so talented Farha of Farha Ali Photography!
